In the 2nd half of the 20th century, Central Ontario paved 49% of its prime farmland to accommodate the expansion of the GTA. Farmland is disappearing at an alarming rate, as is our ability to be a sustainable country. Good reason to buy Canadian, and shop locally to keep our economy and our independence intact!
